- Only about one in 10 infected people develops the typical signs and symptoms of cholera, which include: severe, watery diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, muscle cramps, dehydration, Hypovolemic shock.
- Contaminated water supplies are the main source of cholera infection, but they can also be transmitted through raw shellfish, uncooked fruits and vegetables, and other foods.
