- The condition is named after Dr. Thomas Addison, the British physician who first discovered it in 1849.
- Addison’s disease can occur at any age, but is most common in people ages 30 to 50.
- The most common symptoms of Addison’s disease are fatigue, weight loss, difficulty in standing up, vomiting, anxiety, diarrhoea, headache, sweating, depression, low BP and joint and muscle pains.
